Business System Analyst
Business Systems Analyst or Business Analyst
What a Business Analyst - A business analyst works with business owners, corporate managers across multiple groups or departments and very often end-users from many disparate groups to determine what their needs are. Often, the business system analyst helps determine if the user or the departmental request is feasible and makes sense for the process or system being installed. The business analyst is responsible for gathering system requirements, and ensures that it meets the overall project concept and direction as defined. The business system analyst is required to drill down into each business requirement to ensure that what is being asked for is actually required. In addition the business system analyst will be responsible for obtaining additional clarifications and working with the development teams to ensure what was asked for is actually developed. Finally, in a true end to end fashion, the business system analyst will work and or become part of the test team to validate functional system capabilities during the test and turn up phase. In some cases the business analyst is called on to be part of the training team when resources are scarce or the project size needs their end to end knowledge.
